Tammikuu
12.1.2026: Pohjoisen Helsingin lähiterveysasemat -vaikuttamisensuunnittelupalaveri
Edustin Maunula-Seuraa palaverissa, jossa suunniteltiin miten lähialueen kaupunginosayhdistykset voisivat vaikuttaa Maunula, Oulunkylän ja Paloheinän lähiterveysasemien tulevaisuuden puolesta. Tarkoituksena olisi järjestää aiheesta julkinen tilaisuus, jossa kuultaisiin alan asiantuntijoita ja asiasta päättäviä kaupunkipoliitikkoja.
15.1.2026: Maunula-Seuran hallituksen kokous
Muiden käytännön asioiden ohella kokouksessa keskusteltiin erityisesti Mediapajan toiminnasta ja syksyllä järjestettäväksi suunnitellun Musaa ja makkaraa -tilaisuuden alustavista suunnitelmista. Kerroin mistä 12.1. lähiterveysasemapalaverissa oli keskusteltu. Järjestäytymisosiossa minut ja puheenjohtaja Ami Passi nimettiin hallituksen Maunula-talo-yhteyshenkilöiksi.
20.1.2026: Tiedekuntaneuvoston kokous
Matemaattis-luonnontielteellisen tiedekunnan vuodenvaihteessa aloittaneen uuden kokoonpanon ensimmäinen kokous. Neuvostossa vallitsee nyt ensimmäistä kertaa tasakolmikanta: sekä opiskelijoilla ei-professori-henkilökunnalla että professoreilla on nyt 8 edustajaa. Kokouksesa käytiin mm. pitkä keskustelu varajäsenten osallistumismahdollisuuksista liittyn yliopiston hallituksen päättämään ohjeeseen, joka tulkittiin sallivan vain läsnäolo-oikeuden myöntämisen varajäsenille, mutta ei puhe- ja läsnäolo-oikeutta, silloin kun varsinainen edustaja on paikalla. Nostin muut esille tuleva asiat -kohdassa esiin, että viime vuonna neuvostossa oli puhetta tiedekunnan työjärjestyksen päivittämisestä ja myös pohdintaa tiedekunnassa toimivien työryhmien paremmasta kytkemisestä todelliseen päätöksentekoon. Tavoitteeni on, että tiedekuntaneuvosto päätyisi uudistamaan työjärjestystä varmistamaan tiedekuntayhteisölle yliopiston miminitasoa paremmat demokraattiset osallistumismahdollisuudet.

12.1.2026: Advocacy planning meeting regarding the local health stations of Norther Helsinki
I represented Maunula Society in a meeting, where joint advocacy work among the local resident associatios was planned for the purpose of saving the local health stations of Maunula, Oulunkylä and Paloheinä. In the meeting an event was sketched, where experts on the topic and the city politicians deciding the matter could be heard.
15.1.2026: Board meeting of Maunula Society
Among other practical matters especially the matters of Mediapaja and the preliminary plans for the music event ”Musaa ja makkaraa”, planned to be held in autumn, were discussed. I presented what was discussed in the meeting on local health stations held on 12.1. The chairperson Ami Passi and I were appointed the Maunula House contact persons of the board.
20.1.2026: Meeting of the Faculty Council
The first meeting of the new composition, effective since the beginning of the year, of the faculty council of the faculty of science. In the new composition the tripartite parties have for the first time equal representation: both the students, the non-professor staff, and the professors have 8 representatives each. In the meeting a long discussion was held on the participation of vice members, in light of a guideline by the university board, that was interpreted to allow only giving the vice members right to be present in meetings, but not to speak, when the ordinary member is present. In the other business agenda item I reminded the new council that in the last term updating the rules of procedure of the faculty was discussed and there was also pondering on how the different working groups etc. of the faculty could better be better integrated with the actual decision making. My aim is that the faculty council would end up updating the rules beyond the minimum required level of democratic participation of the faculty community.
